We are pleased that you are considering the baptism of your child.  Baptism is a Sacrament, a sign of God’s love for his children, and marks a new beginning and a decision to follow Jesus Christ.  Baptisms take place during the Parish Eucharist, usually on one Sunday per month.  We suggest that you contact us as soon as is possible to arrange your baptism.  You need to check whether you live in the parish; if you do not live in the parish we can direct you to your local parish church or discuss membership which involves attending regularly for at least six months.  There is further information on baptism at the Church of England website.

Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey at which you affirm for yourself the faith into which you have been baptised and your intention to live a life of committed Christian discipleship.  This affirmation is confirmed through prayer and the laying on of hands by the Bishop.  Confirmation follows a course of preparation over several weeks.  Please contact us if you would like to know more.

Congratulations on your forthcoming marriage.  Wherever you are in the planning stage, we are here to help you as best we can.  You may want to begin by visiting the Church of England’s Wedding Site and then contacting us.  If you live in the parish and need to have your banns called at our church.  You will need to collect a Banns Application form, complete it and return it to us.

A funeral is the occasion that marks the end of a life here on earth. It can be a quiet, private service in a crematorium chapel, or a large service with hymns and music in a full church. The choice is yours.  You will find more information on funerals here.  We would be pleased to speak with you at this difficult time, please contact us.
